Key Moments in our history

2006

Wayne and Lisa Hoglund with daughter Holly Hoglund Klein opened HBE in Corcoran, MN with a 6,000-square-foot facility and seven team members.

HBE originally opened to support warranty and body work on buses for Hoglund Bus Co. (HBC), a business that had been part of the Hoglund family since 1947.

2007

HBE opened a fabrication shop in 2007, located in Monticello. The fabrication shop made it possible to add luggage compartments to buses and panels.

2010

HBE grew to provide quality repairs on other commercial vehicles and equipment, in addition to continuing bus body work for HBC. With the quick growth, HBE moved in September, 2010 to Monticello. The 33,000-square-foot service body shop expands to include more than 20 team members.

Shortly after opening in the new location, HBE added a sandblast booth expanding capabilities to remove paint, rust, and corrosion from vehicles and equipment efficiently. Sandblasting also ensures clean material for the paint process.

2015

In 2015, HBE added a 60-foot Spray Tech down draft paint booth and mix room, boosting capacity to two 60-foot paint booths. With the additional paint booth, HBE can better serve customers with quicker turnaround and quality finishes.

2021

HBE invested in Bee Line alignment and frame repair systems. These systems measure and correct all angles of a vehicle, allowing customers to extend their vehicle’s tire life, maximize fuel efficiency, and improve handling.

2022

HBE installed a Josam frame rack that makes it possible to repair frames of commercial-sized vehicles. The installation required assembling frame rail pieces before installing them in the cement floor. A Josam trainer taught the team how to properly hook up a vehicle, read diagnostics, and repair frames.

2023

In March, a second 17,000-square-foot HBE location in Monticello is acquired and underwent work to optimize the space and install state-of-the-art body shop equipment. In July, repair services opened at the second location.
