Restoration & Sandblasting

Whether you have rust damage, have equipment that’s experienced wear and tear, or want to brand a used vehicle, Hoglund Body & Equipment has an expansive sandblasting booth to offer Central MN sandblasting services.

Knicks and scratches in your vehicle's paint can leave those spots vulnerable to rust. Not fixing rust spots can cause your vehicle's structural integrity to degrade and weaken, resulting in body panel rust, wheel well rust and other rusted metal surfaces like fenders.

Rust Repair and Removal

Here’s a step-by-step look at a trailer rust repair:

The first step in the rust removal process on this job is trailer sandblasting. Sandblasting is used to remove paint, rust, or any other residues from the surface for new paint to adhere correctly. Sandblasting equipment propels a high-pressure stream of air and abrasive particles at a target, effectively cleaning the surface of all contaminants.

Paint prep is the second step in the rust removal process. This step consists of any disassembly, plus covering and taping off the pieces that are not meant to be painted.

After paint prep, the unit is primed for painting. Priming is done to ensure a high-quality paint adhesion and finish.

The next step in the rust removal process is painting. This process is completed in one of our oversized paint booths by our expertly trained technicians.
